Happy Esther Day

In Nerdfighteria, there's an annual day celebrating a fellow nerdfighter named Esther, who passed away due to cancer. Her wish was that on her birthday, people would tell those that they love that they love them.

While I would like to honor this because I support the nerdfighter community, my family seems to express love in a very unspoken manner. I don't know why we never really developed this. I guess we all became pretty private people1.

My brother and I have since been able to take that pent-up energy and learned to speak with our strings. We decided that the feeling of a good jam session is really the only way to show our appreciation for each other. It worked.

So one day, we got our friend Jeff to play drums, did not plan any notes beforehand, and came out of the garage with this:

Session 03 by The Rival Sandwich Company

The love in my family is pretty unspoken. But we do know we love each other. And how do we know? You can hear it in the notes.

Reader, in honor of Esther Day, let someone know you love them.

  1. And yet here I am, a blogger. Go figure.
