Rearrange

It's strange when you put something out there on the internet and realize that sometimes, people happen to be paying attention. Because it's most important to do anything you do on the internet first for your own personal edification or entertainment, sometimes it's a bit of a surprise to remember that there are other people on the other side of the screen.

Why is it a surprise? The internet is often used for communication, after all. Well, it's mostly a surprise when these people on the other side of the screen help you make decisions that change what it's like on your side of the screen.

Yes, this happens.

All I did, albeit publicly, was to ask if rearranging my apartment might be a good idea.

Alright, well, if you're just kicking around an idea and not being serious about it, don't share it with your internet pals because then you'll look like an ass if you don't follow through.

Right.

So, hey, remember that one time the internet told me to rearrange my apartment?

Before

desk location in bedroom

old bed positioning

Old living room (sorry, it's dark)

After (and in the daytime)

Desktop now in the living room!

where the desk used to be (ideas?)

new bed positioning

And also, new backdrop for vlogging

The new backdrop for vlogs, now that my desktop is in the living room

Looks awesome! And I WANT THAT ARTWORK IN THE BACK! So gorgeous.

It's kind of refreshing to rearrange, huh? I did that recently, sort of, when I moved. I think next time I'm feeling antsy I should just rearrange instead of moving because that was a huge pain in the ass haha.

I like the new setup. :) And HOORAY for getting the computer out of the bedroom. It's a separation of living and working area. Definitely more along the feng shui lines.

I've always used rearranging my furniture as a form of inspiration.  I like working in better or just different spaces.

I was going to say that the internet always says, "Do it!"  But I hope there are some questions we'd answer with, "Noooo!"

Dig it. I love rearranging my apartment every few months. It's like a breath of fresh (cheesy) air.

Nice! I like the new backdrop for vlogs.

As soon as I began freelancing I yanked my desk out of my bedroom and put it in my living room. I couldn't imagine spending all my days in my bedroom. By the time I was ready for bed I'd probably end up in the living room on my couch.

It is so refreshing to see a guy make his bed, with sheets on it and everything. Love it.

Rearranging is always so refreshing! Also, did you know that it's bad news bears to put your computer/work in your bedroom? You're supposed to keep it separated because when you're trying to sleep you will be thinking about work, etc because that's the energy that you've created in that space. :) The things I've learned as a designer...at least I've withheld some of it! ;) The space looks great!

I love changing things around, rearranging your apartment is refreshing! It's good feng shui flow to get technology out of the bedroom. Now you just need some running water! I'm glad you took our advice. ;)

Also, the mention of your vlog background reminded me that I need to start vlogging.
