Get Through Monday (Lesson 1,113)
November 16th, 2009 Posted in Get Through MondayPrevention Is Safety
If you’re like me,
you’ve been saving for weeks to afford
furniture (repairs),
two birthday presents,
[EDIT]a 5 string bass guitar[/EDIT],
and some video games.
Regardless of what you’ve been spending
or if it came into culmination over the weekend,
being back in the office (or in class) prevents you
from further hurting your bank account.
And there’s something to be said for that.
Also, for further protection,
do not visit Etsy or Woot.

And an Ibanez bass.

I'd need a series of sofas to rifle through before I could think about buying a candy bar. Can't spend what you don't have!
Duly noted. My bank account is ouchy right now after this weekend.
You've got a point there. I've got a lot of things that need to be bought AND fixed. Hrm.
… I went Christmas shopping over the weekend, and my bank account is SO SAD. I guess that's one good thing about work. I cannot make my bank account sadder while there, right?
I love that too. I don't spend more than $5 through the week and then I blow it all on the weekend.
do not lose your purse or phone too. huhuhu.
sorry I'm bitter lol I know how it is to feel annoyed to not be able to not buy things we really want because we spent our money for other less important things. :)
I'm good and fiscally responsible all week. And then the weekend comes. Turns out celebrating not spending money by spending money is counterproductive.
Yeah, tell me about it. Etsy is pure danger. I just spent $120 US that I don't exactly have.
Nice blog. Love your sense of humour. Yes, I'm Canadian.
