"How Into Ninjas Are You?"

April 27th, 2007 Posted in Uncategorized

In working with a client today, we had the usual objectives: “let people know about this new release and feed exclusive high-resolution resources to people who are already fanatics” — however, I couldn’t help but notice that one of our listed objectives was as follows:

-Renew interest in ninjas.

Sure, the title I’m supposed to promote is ninja-based… but when does interest in ninjas ever die? How does one ever stop being interested in ninjas? And how am I supposed to activate a community that is into ninjas? What kind of email would that look like?

ex.: “Just in case you didn’t know, ninjas are still out there. And they’d like your support.”

And in what other work environment is this really a desired result?

My job rules… but sometimes, it’s weird.

For your research, I am very into ninjas, and yes, this interest has never abated.

Thanks for the blog comment man. I see what you’re saying, but I often get people calling in and at the beginning of the conversation or somewhere within it, the issue of money is always thrown around. That they spent such and such for a keyboard and it doesn’t even work, and from that point forwards any help I try to offer is usually “not acceptable”. That’s what I’ve experienced.

On a completely random note, what was that “Mr. Robot” or something sparse electronic music we were listening to on Vonnegut Night? I can’t remember the exact name, but you and Evan were really into it, and I’d like to hear some more.
